And roam these ancient woods alone
My essence passed through the majestic oak
Through frozen limbs and roots I spoke
My breath is now the winter breeze
The howling wind through ancient trees
My screams are for man and beast
For man to fear call the wolves to feast
Men of god this place is cursed
Thus I invoke my deathly verse

This vast forest that weaves its way across these great lands
Frozen in silence sheathed in a mantel of ice
All life enshrouded by winters wrath
Hear the trees groan under the weight of the snow
A vaporous mist entwines the oak
Bellowing snow upward like smoke
Behold! Prophecies carved within the leaves
Writhing and twitching encircling the trees
The shadowed hoods beneath the trees
Barely holding its dying leaves
The raven above with sapphire eyes
The wraith of the woods will surely arise

Humanity is cold
Lies from birth you are told

One more frozen sword

One more soul to the trees
Your tainted humanity
My hands held their ashes
The wind carried her away
What little faith I had
Was set ablaze that day
Upon rotten roots I walk
Destroyed by frost and blight
Through dying eyes you see the world
The forest cloaked in white
Unleash thy wrath upon this world
White wings above the wraith below
Now cast the earth in winter
Your funeral in the snow

Un-silent screams and unknown verse
Oh I prey your blood shall flow
And feed the earth below
Within the darkness within the cold
The eyes of the forest see you all
The ancient trees with haunting reach
Beholding horrors to those who do not know
Once embraced the vine to oak
Once a strong and eager grasp
Now cold and dead from winters chill
The forest alive again
Damp breath to soak through cloth
Sharp teeth to pierce the flesh
This night I hear the winter wolves
Cry their sorrow to the moon
For I hailed with night speech

These fellows from the UK are in their early 20's but they have a very mature sound. Raw, energetic and catchy. The first track and the final three are my favourites. Another great 2020 discovery. A serious AOTY contender and also SOTY with "Questions for the Heavens".
